There are times when you see a place and you see something that just says, I don't belong....I do have to know, how busy were they? Iaeger is so quiet now.

Ieager in the early 1970's had a Kroger Store. There were 4 total in McDowell County at that time. Iaeger, Northfork, Coney Island and Down town both in Welch.
ReplyDeleteThe Beauty Rest Motel was used by many who were in the area for work. I knew an IRS agent who stayed in it regularly while doing audits in the area. Sadly the last I heard of it being used was by people who needed a bed for a short time period after a visit to a bar.
